I just saw this comment now and it was probably posted about a year ago - I couldn't agree more with you. In my mind he is still the best person for the job (President) and after 10 months on the job, the economy is starting to show improvement, the troops will come home from Iraq next summer, and we are close to implementing a more nationalized notion of health care. All I can say is - it's about time! Thank God for him.

Dear Prof
Obama's position on work/family issues is addressed by his advocacy for top-notch child care from infancy for those who need it. With so many families needing two incomes to survive having good child care choices is critical.
Next, his program on creating new jobs will help. His advocacy for jump starting green technology will not only provide jobs, it will create NEW jobs, and address the climate change issues that threaten all of us.
There is no doubt in my mind that Obama is the very best choice for those of us who care about quality of life and work/family issues.
